WHAT YOU WILL DO
Research, assess, review, and prepare value proposition for clinical contract awards and savings opportunities.
Serve as a facility resource related to various vendor management items including product availability, conversion, pricing, recalls, sourcing, and vendor representative management in Franciscan’s facilities.
Assist in clinical conversion and implementation activities at the System’s facilities to support new product awards or sourcing and monitor product conversion adherence post transition.
Build relationships with clinical staff to allow for sourcing to be patient centered when based on unbiased clinical research.
Review new supply items being requested for inclusion into the item master to avoid duplication of products and ensure contract compliance.
Work collaboratively with the Contract Pricing Analysts to monitor completed conversions and associated savings and with the Central Purchasing team to address questions and assist in discrepancy resolution.
Create reports for dissemination and discussion with clinical staff that makes improvement / standardization opportunities apparent.
Research products to be sourced to facilitate comparative effectiveness and conversion analysis.
Assist with the documentation of cost savings (or losses) by facility due to the implementation of GPO or Franciscan supply/equipment contracts, or the inability of a facility to implement.
Assist with Franciscan Performance Optimization (FPO) meetings and non-labor initiatives.
Communicate with sales representatives when appropriate.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
Working knowledge of clinical products, supplies, and vendors used in the nursing, surgery, and respiratory areas.
Basic knowledge of materials management systems.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Build and maintain strategic relationships.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
