This position will have responsibility for achieving supply chain expense management and targets using the value analysis process. Will receive direction from the Value Analysis Manager, and works collaboratively with Director of Supply Chain, Physicians, Allied Health Professionals, Administrators, Purchasing staff, Regional partners, Vendors, and other individuals internal and external to Gundersen Health System. This role will provide Value Analysis support to all Gundersen Health System and regional campuses.
1.Work under the direction of the Value Analysis Manager to provide high quality, efficient, and cost effect products and services utilizing value analysis processes.
2.Under direction of Value Analysis Manager, will process new product requests and assist with coordinating product evaluation/trials to assure the proper use of products, use of appropriate evaluation criteria, documentation of evaluation outcomes, and consultation of necessary personnel (e.g. physicians, infection control, clinical engineering, nursing).
3.Develops and maintains professional working relationships; utilizes networking and teambuilding skills to accomplish goals and meet customer and team needs.
4.Management of product issues, backorders, and recalls.
5.Provide clinical expertise that facilitates supply expense management while continuously improving all processes that support patient care.
6.Data collection, research, analysis. Ability to interpret data and present in meaningful format, and in a non-biased, objective manner.
7.Promotes and provides education on value analysis processes.
8.Supports group purchasing organization contracts, organizational initiatives, departmental strategies.
9.Actively participates in cross departmental and institutional teams, councils and workgroups.
10.Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested.
Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college of nursing, as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college of nursing, as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
3-4 years patient care experience in acute care setting.
1 year experience in a decision-making position in an area heavily utilizing clinical and physician preference supplies. Previous experience in process improvement projects, data collection and analysis.
