Director, Materials Management is responsible for overseeing all supply chain related activities involving the procurement of supplies and equipment, equipment management, new product introductions and conversions, capital acquisition, management of GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) contracts and compliance, custom contracting, JIT (Just in Time) inventory management, vendor credentialing, MMIS (Materials Management Information Solution) system management to include data integrity and compliance and distributor relationships. The Director is also responsible for organizational and departmental targets and objectives relative to cost management, supplier diversity, and revenue enhancement. Assures compliance with all organization, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. Responsible to ensure accurate and current cost management, expense control and charge capture. Facilitate activities with GPO to ensure contract tiers and compliance. Manage all off-contract and non-contracted spending.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration. Master's Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of progressively responsible materials management or related experience within a hospital/healthcare environment is required. Three (3) or more years experience in a management role required. Must possess a strong understanding of inventory management, purchasing operation, GPO and costs controls.
