What you’ll be doing - As a member of the Purchasing Team, the Customer Support Specialist provides guidance and support to client hospital directors including troubleshooting and problem solving of HealthTech’s Group Purchasing Program (GPO). This position monitors the utilization of contracts and performs surveys of hospitals to optimize vendor and product utilization. The Specialist develops statistical information to support contract optimization.

What else - Normal business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday. The position is expected to work a 40-hour week. Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%) that may include overnight stays. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
What we need - First and foremost, you must be an experienced healthcare GPO pro. Next, you must be able to interact with customers in a professional, polished, while also warm and friendly manner. We need someone who can ultimately “dig in” and figure out how to solve their problems in a timely manner. We are looking for a “Sherlock Holmes” type, who can break apart a situation, and put it back together, so it works. Critical thinking skills are … well … critical.
Bachelor’s degree; or 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 5 years' healthcare GPO experience.
Knowledge of contracting and hospital purchasing procedures.
Strong analytical and data analysis skills. Able to analyze and manipulate data, in order to solve problems.
Someone who treats customers like they’re our partners.
Of course, this also means you also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Ability to organize, focus, and ensure accurate and timely response.
Extreme attention to detail … doesn’t miss a beat.
Computer literacy, including MS Word, and you’ve got to be comfortable working in Excel.
Ability to work independently. We need you to be able to make it your own, take it and go with it.
Exhibits advanced knowledge of hospital products and equipment.
