The Analyst for Value Analysis will support the Value Analysis team efforts within the WMC Health Network. Value Analysis (VA) Program identifies opportunities for cost savings and quality initiatives related to products, service and process standardization/utilization. This position will collaborate with Clinical Value Analysis Manager (CVAM) and Value Analysis Project Coordinator in identifying and implementing cost reduction, evaluation, standardization and process improvement initiatives. This position will be responsible for validating assumptions using evidence-based clinical research when appropriate.
GED or High School Diploma with (2) years minimum experience in Value Analysis required
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent education and experience with an emphasis in Business or Health care preferred
Manage new product requests.
Perform financial analysis for new and existing products.
Quantify and report monthly metrics to CVAM including but not limited to contract compliance data, and actualized savings.
Monitor physician preference item market share agreements with clinical end user and CVAM.
Utilize Value Analysis software tools.
Provide CVAM with necessary peer reviewed clinical evidence pertaining to specific project need through research (software).
Prepare various monthly/quarterly analytics reports.
Works in conjunction with distribution and materials management staff.
Ensures new requests comply with procurement rules.
Ensures appropriate pricing and contracts are loaded into database; performs quality assurance review as needed.
Responsible for year-end inventory process.
Analyze utilization reports to monitor end user compliance and track usage.
Calculates YTD spend for cost center managers on a monthly basis or as needed.
Knowledge or experience in product evaluation, value analysis processes or supply chain.
Management experience including team building, team development and team coaching.
Previous experience in conducting cost benefit analysis and ROI calculation.
Successful track record in project management, change management, benchmarking and process improvement.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills including data gathering, organization, assessment, reporting and presentation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills.
Demonstrated skill in use of business software programs (knowledge of project management software is a plus).
Knowledge of process improvement/re-engineering, facilitation/implementation techniques, and data interpretation.
Previous experience with maximizing the use of a group purchasing organizations (GPO's), supply chain optimization or product evaluation/value analysis committees.
