Oversees the centralized specification, negotiation, procurement, and distribution of all contracts, supplies, equipment, and services in accordance with System Wide Policies and Procedures. Provides cost-benefit analysis to substantiate decisions in product selection. Develops and implements appropriate policies and procedures for all facets of the Supply Chain area of responsibility. Responsible for vendor selection and the control of vendor representatives and the negotiation of pricing and terms for non-contracted vendors. Develops Value Analysis Team policies and procedures and facilitates compliance to GPO agreements and the reduction of contractual, equipment, and supply costs. Develops processes in all facets of the Supply Chain operations and ensures compliance with all regulatory and audit requirements. Directs all human resource functions of the department, provides leadership and direction and oversees training and ensures staff competencies. Directly responsible for the control and monitoring of capital and non-capital equipment and CIP budgeting and procurement processes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration or related field.
Ten years of recent experience at the Director level in Hospital Materials Management/Supply Chain Management
Working knowledge of economics, marketing, business laws and contracts
Previous experience as purchasing agent with proven supervisory skills
Ability to analyze and interpret financial documents
General knowledge of Human Resource functions including labor laws, recruitment and retention practices and organizational development
Certified Supply ChainProfessional (CSCP), Purchasing Manager (CPM), Purchasing Professional (CPP) Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) or Accredited Purchasing Professional (APP) preferred
