The Hospital for Special Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a full time Buyer position for our department of Materials Management!
In this important role, the Buyer will be responsible for the purchasing of supplies and equipment for perioperative departments with the goal of quality, availability, and cost to afford the best products at the lowest cost by adhering to the local and group purchasing contracts. You will be responsible for meeting internal customer quality and delivery requirements at the lowest cost, consistent with the values and culture of HSS.
The successful candidate must have purchasing experience in a hospital environment with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of Lawson used for purchasing and accounts payable is preferred. GHX experience also preferred. Excellent computer skills coupled with outstanding communication and customer service skills are essential.
High School diploma/GED required.
