Lead Clinical Strategic Sourcing, effectively managing total cost of ownership
Champion sourcing with senior management, natural owners, and key supply partners
Drive best in class pricing, and consistently work towards standardization and optimal utilization of OSUWMC resources
Strongly link with the other Leaders within Supply Chain to ensure a unified approach and efficient operation. Specifically, partner with Value Analysis/Data Support to ensure that Clinical Sourcing’s needs are met and Supply Chain operates as a cohesive group
Support a deep Clinical integration of supply chain and drive a Service Line mentality
Monitor savings and budget impacts, driving a reduction in non-labor material cost
Adhere to established policies, procedures, and financial delegation of authority
Attract, develop and retain talent to build and maintain a distinctive sourcing organization; ensure all employees with the group are capable and competent. Address shortcomings through training, development and the Performance Improvement Process, if needed.
Manage key supplier relationships (i.e., those with significant spend across multiple divisions)
Deliver world class customer service to internal stakeholders and departments
Maximize the relationship + value associated with our chosen Group Purchasing Organization
Bachelor's degree, with an MBA preferred. Clinical degree preferred.
A minimum of 10 years purchasing or equivalent clinical experience in positions of progressive responsibility
A minimum of 3 years experience in a clinical setting preferred
A minimum of 5 years management experience at the supervisory level preferred
Certified six sigma green/black belt preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and consensus building skills
Analytical skills, including an understanding of cost-benefit analysis
Strong background in building strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Strong command of Microsoft Office suite of tools
