Western Connecticut Health Network is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator for its Supply Chain Store Room and Materials Distribution Department. The Inventory Control Coordinator is accountable and responsible for the effective management, efficiency and control of the Materials Distribution inventories and any related activity. Primary areas of concentration include establishing and maintaining accuracy of the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) preferably in a healthcare environment (Infor, Lawson, PeopleSoft or similar Systems) as it pertains to inventory information, setting supply levels to adequately meet the patient and support care, minimizing the inventory investment of WCHN.

Functions as the lead of the inventory process and provides operational and management support of the Norwalk Hospital Stock Room and Materials Distribution function in concert with and in the event of the absence of the Manager.
Supports the inventory process to include involvement in par inventory areas and Stock Room replenishment as needed.
Strong teamwork requirement and excellent customer service skills required.
Activities will include ordering supplies, vendor coordination, order expediting and coordinating of supply quantities and backorder management.
Minimum formal education of High School Diploma and minimum of three or more years of job related experience is required.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, health care administration or related field of study preferred.
Requires knowledge of automated Materials Management Systems, accounting process, inventory control techniques and supply distribution methods. Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel required. Working knowledge of Lawson, Infor, Meditech, PS or similar healthcare Supply Chain/MMIS inventory system preferred.
General computer literacy:
Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel required. Working knowledge of Lawson, Infor, Meditech, PS or similar healthcare Supply Chain/MMIS inventory system preferred.
