Mercy Health Corporation (Mercyhealth) is seeking a top executive to lead the system’s supply chain strategies. The position will report to the President and CEO and will work in collaboration with members of the executive team for implementation of best in class supply chain processes for the organization; pursuing leading practices that drive intended quality and safety outcomes in the most cost-effective manner. The Vice President- Supply Chain and Procurement oversees the planning and development of policies and procedures and the overall operations of all system wide functions related to supply chain including: value analysis and product specification in collaboration with clinicians and physicians; sourcing and procurement of supplies, capital equipment (strategic and routine), software, service agreements and purchased services; negotiations, contracting and vendor management; inventory management, warehousing, logistics and delivery, freight and courier services, materials forecasting, capacity planning, and other related areas.
Successful candidates will position a Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or similar advanced degree and ten or more years serving in a senior leadership role in supply chain and procurement preferably in an integrated healthcare system.
