WHAT YOU WILL DO
Analyze and trend clinical supply cost, spend, and utilization data, with a particular focus on high cost clinical products using Franciscan’s clinical information and nonclinical information systems and analytic software systems.
Develop and prepare regular spend analytic reports and identify areas of opportunity for further contract compliance and utilization
Develop complex cost modeling for sourcing related financial analysis and assist sourcing contract personnel with strategy development and implementation.
Conduct opportunity analysis of product proposals including value enhancement and impact analysis for recommending tactical solutions.
Prepare various other complex ad hoc financial and statistical reports and analyses.
Present final analyses to various clinical and nonclinical leaders to provoke dialogue, action plans, and decision-making
Act as mentor to local Supply Utilization and Sourcing Specialists.
Research products to be sourced to facilitate comparative effectiveness and conversion analysis.
Create visually attractive, user-friendly reports to support product standardization efforts, contract compliance, and strategic decision-making.
Create reports as directed for dissemination and discussion with clinical staff that makes improvement/standardization opportunities apparent.
Assist with the documentation of cost savings (or losses) by facility due to the implementation of GPO or Franciscan supply/equipment contracts, or the inability of a facility to implement.
Work with vendors, System Contract Directors, and Central Purchasing staff to clarify contract tier access, contract price effective date, and other relevant contract information to ensure Franciscan achieves the full benefits of supply/equipment contracts.
Serve as member of various product evaluation and/or value analysis teams.
Understand financial operations and work with all levels of personnel, including finance, clinical management, and supply chain colleagues to ensure accuracy of reports or analyses.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
Work collaboratively and participate in or lead various System taskforces, committees, or workgroups as designated or requested.
Seven years of financial analysis and experience in healthcare industry.
Advanced/expert level experience in Excel and Crystal Reports.
Excellent leadership skills.
High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to present reports and the meaning of the data in a concise, comprehensible manner for non-data experts.
