Position: Sourcing Executive, Custom Contracting Location: Renton, WA
The Custom Contracting Sourcing Executive is a strategic sourcing resource dedicated to a large integrated delivery network and is charged with delivering best in class contracting strategies and expertise that result in supply chain cost reductions. The custom sourcing executive will accomplish this by contributing in all aspects of supply chain strategic sourcing processes including opportunity identification, strategy, RFI/RFP, contract development, negotiations, documentation, and implementation. The custom sourcing executive will develop a customer specific contract strategy to reduce spend, improve operational efficiencies, maximize delivered value and ultimately achieve a higher level of member satisfaction by becoming a trusted advisor. Individuals who are results driven, possess intellectual curiosity, enjoy a cross-functional matrix environment where project scope and activities vary day to day will find this position of interest. This position reports to the Director of Custom Sourcing for Providence Health & Services. The candidate will need to reside in the greater Seattle, WA area and work on-site at Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
Responsibilities -meet/exceed established cost savings goals by: Developing a project plan to meet savings goals Interpreting financial analysis and market dynamics to formulate contract strategy recommendations Working with hospital and Vizient contracting teams to develop enhancements to existing Vizient national agreements. Negotiating hospital and Vizient specific terms and conditions while maintaining best price. Insuring implementation of contract pricing by conducting supply chain activities necessary to achieve cost savings. Communicating successes, opportunities and challenges to Vizient leadership and hospital key stakeholders. Conducting ongoing price monitoring and contract maintenance to assure market relevant pricing. Developing strong relationships with hospital key stakeholders while understanding Vizient internal relationship structure. Maintaining strong business relationships with manufacturers across specific product lines to include laboratory and purchased services.
