Central Purchasing Leader
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR The Director of Central Purchasing manages our Central Purchasing team to plan, organize, and direct purchasing functions. This role requires someone who can balance providing departmental support, while consistently searching for innovative new ways of purchasing. If you like working as part of a team and dealing with operations, this job has it all.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
•Provide departmental supervisory oversight by overseeing the general day-to-day operation of the Central Purchasing Department. •Direct, control, and maintain purchasing functions. •Assist with new system implementations and upgrades including the Materials Management/Purchasing system, EDI Transaction System, Omnicell Supply Automation system, GPO Contract System, etc. •Provide critical leadership for the implementation of new facilities on Central Purchasing. •Monitor vendor performance measures such as fill rates, pricing, and invoice accuracy. •Oversee contract compliance and pricing integrity through data and contract management. •Hold Franciscan’s largest supply vendor (M-S Distributor) accountable for service. •Proactively search for process improvements and innovative new ways of purchasing. •Promote and instill high customer service values in the Central Purchasing Staff. •Conduct and attend purchasing and materials management meetings. •Respond and communicate with facility materials staff to resolve issues. •Ensure efficient process workflow between Central Purchasing and Central A/P. •Maintain thorough operational knowledge of the MM System Software.
