Manager, Supply Chain Sourcing – Newtown Square, PA
The Manager of the Strategic Sourcing primarily manages and provides guidance to the ongoing and upcoming Strategic Sourcing projects for MLH SCM. The manager also ensures that the strategic direction of the department is implemented and adhered to throughout the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project management, including developing and monitoring project work plans, planning and allocating department resources and resolving project issues.
Implementing and ensuring department compliance with policies and procedures
Integrating with Technology Assessment and Contract Management areas
Reviewing and approving project deliverables
Conducting negotiation meetings with vendors
Resolving supplier concerns
Monitoring sourcing events
Reviewing and finalizing the supplier recommendation and final contract utilizing the MLH contract review process
supporting the management of the GPO contract portfolio
Participating in SCM committee activity at the Jefferson Health System level
Qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in business (or related field preferred), a minimum of 8 years of supply chain management in progressively senior positions, applicable experience in contract negotiations and implementation in the healthcare arena and a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management. Must have proven strong sourcing/negotiation/contracting skills, excellent communication/facilitation skills (oral & written), strong industry/market analysis skills and background, ability to lead several initiatives at a time, strong analytical skills, working knowledge of PeopleSoft MMS 8.9 or higher and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project). Demonstrated project management skills, ability to manage expense reduction projects and demonstrated capacity to build relationships internally and externally and in depth knowledge key supply chain/logistics processes and current best practices is strongly desired.
