The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the organizational leadership and guidance in the development and application of patient focused Supply Chain processes encompassing all functions from order to delivery that promote safe and effective patient care while actively managing costs. The role works with internal and external customers of the healthcare system, multiple Group Purchasing Organizations, and other healthcare associations to gain advantages through cost reduction, technology development, quality improvement, cycle time reduction, improved warehousing and delivery capabilities to meet customer and organizational requirements. They collaborate with Pharmacy to assure standards are met for the procurement, storage, and safe handling of selected pharmacy products. They have primary responsibility for the Value Analysis program to assist with identifying associated priorities, opportunities and risks. This role also has primary responsibility for the Contracts team for the timely processing and execution of organizational contracts and legal agreements, in collaboration with the Legal Department.
Education and Learning:
Master's degree in Healthcare/Hospital Administration or Business Administration (MBA)
Considerable knowledge of patient care processes in addition to business theory, business processes, finan-cial management, budgeting, vendor management and program office operations.
5-7 years of experience with: Active knowledge and involvement in patient care, Demonstrated track record of lead-ing technology development within a highly complex enterprise, Experience of preparing business cases, Requests for proposal, acquiring and managing major capital equipment, supply and technology services and hardware, Previous Strategic technology planning and integration experience.
