1) This position is responsible for creating and implementing the strategies to effectively manage the $2.0 billion spent annually on all non-labor spend of the company.
2) The primary responsibilities include developing the vision and operationalizing the people, structure, processes, communications and technology to ensure that supply chain solutions and sourcing efforts deliver significant financial, quality and service results to Intermountain Healthcare.
3) This position will lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals to develop and maintain key relationships with senior-level organization leaders specifically CFOs, Vice-Presidents, Hospital Administrators, Physicians / Clinicians, Medical Group leadership, Select Health leadership and many other clinical and non-clinical program directors and leaders.
4) This position works with other hospital organizations to identify best practices and to determine where joint-contracting can be beneficial and partners with other Supply Chain Organization leadership to accomplish assigned duties.
Our ideal candidate will be an exemplary public speaker with the ability to accurately and confidently represent Intermountain Healthcare's interests related to contracts, strategy, and sourcing, which may include presenting to conference sized groups.
Master's degree required or ability to achieve within two years. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Ten years of progressive management experience.
Experience in procurement and extensive knowledge of products, services and software solutions required.
Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with best practices of supply chain management, strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically, good business economics mindset and interest, strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and analytical skills are required.
A thorough understanding of contract law, excellent communications skills and relationship building skills and strong management skills with emphasis on people development are also required.
A demonstrated track record for obtaining superior and increasing results as well as excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including ability to influence / get buy-in from internal and external stakeholders at all levels of management are required.
Masters Degree in business or supply chain management.
Experience working in healthcare supply chain procurement.
Knowledge of and experience in healthcare contract management and sourcing.
