Plans and directs the selection and acquisition of all needed supplies, equipment, and services for Mercyhealth in conformance with policies, administrative objectives, Mercyhealth code of business conduct, and accepted business ethics and standard practices. Strives to enhance and develop services and systems that best meet the needs of Mercyhealth.Manages all operations impacting the Supply Chain Sourcing and Purchasing function: Product sourcing, vendor selection, product standardization, purchasing, customer service, delivery systems including requisitions, proposals group purchasing (GPO) participation and compliance, cost savings, cost avoidance, recalls and alerts, policies and procedures, corporate compliance, etc..Works with Mercyhealth leaders to ensure the efficient allocation of resources.Identifies and recommends product and vendor standardization, which will result in greater efficiency and less clinical variability, while maintaining the highest level of safety and efficacy.Assigns responsibilities of staff that promote centralization of purchasing and contracting across all customer departments.Supervises and trains direct report staff.Provides leadership and needed support to the Value Analysis process and committees.Serves on a variety of task forces and committees as needed and prescribed. Education: Bachelor' degree required (Master's preferred) in related field.
Work Experience: At least eight years of applicable experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Purchasing or similarly related field is required. Five to Seven years of leadership experience is required.
