About Pandion Optimization Alliance
At Pandion Optimization Alliance, we believe there's strength in numbers. That's reflected in our long history of bringing individuals and organizations together, and harnessing their collective power through cooperative purchasing for the benefit of all. A reputation for excellence is the foundation of our legacy as a pioneer in the group purchasing industry. Our Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) began more than 70 years ago, when a consortium of healthcare CEOs aggregated their purchasing into a healthcare purchasing group to get better pricing. The hospital GPO evolved into a regional organization that provided cost-effective regional and local contracts. In 1994 a separate company was formed to become an owner in Premier, Inc., one of the nation's largest GPOs. As we add to our storehouse of industry knowledge, we've expanded beyond healthcare into other areas such as education, hospitality, and more. To date we have over 2,000 members in 47 States.
