Reporting to the Director of Materials Management, this position is responsible for the management of material handling and warehouse distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational, departmental and organizational policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for the efficient and accurate day-to-day operations, making recommendations for improvement opportunities such as quality development and process efficiencies and enhancements, as well as supply, equipment, and linen replenishment/distribution throughout the hospital. This position directly manages and supervises all Materials Management Technicians, accomplishes staff performance goals through coaching, counseling, disciplining, and appraising job results, executes strategies in warehousing, inventory management, to include goal setting & evaluations and works interdepartmentally with the department managers and directors to manage supplies within various departments.
BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent; CMRP certification a plus
10+ years of materials, inventory, logistics and warehousing experience preferred.
Prior experience in a hospital environment is strongly preferred
5+ years of experience using ERP systems, Meditech experience a plus
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong inventory management skills developed through prior experience
Strong ability to collaborate across functional groups to complete necessary materials management job function requirements
Prior track record of managing successful teams
