Eskenazi Health is seeking an experienced Director of Materials Management. The primary responsibility of this role is to determine and execute how products will be received, stored, and ultimately delivered for use with patients and end-users, and will oversee this logistic environment within our organization.
In addition, the Director of Materials Management will hold responsibility for:
Operational oversite for any and all outside contracted distribution services including routine business reviews with those contractors and appropriate internal customers.
Routine reporting on specific Materials Management key process indicators.
In collaboration with Supply Chain Strategic Analytics, reporting on all aspects of replenishment and distribution for all areas, including but not limited to: on-hand inventory, slow/no move reporting, fill rates, compliance, non-contract product mix, time-to-patient/end user with respect to New Item Adoption, technology assessment and adoptions measurement, and most optimal freight and shipping methods.
Maintenance and daily reporting of stock and supplies on-hand, and reporting of product distribution trends in order to provide senior leadership with forecasted shortages related to manufacturer back-orders and/or changes in service priorities.
Responsibility to help educate or inform end-user areas and materials management staff on good storage and prudent replenishment processes.
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or related field with a minimum of 4 years of health care Supply Chain management experience, preferentially in hospital materials management. 8 years progressive Supply Chain experience including at least 2 years of management, supervisory, leadership experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Master’s Degree with at least 2 years of management, supervisory, leadership experience preferred. Certified Materials Resource Planning or equivalent preferred.
