Vidant Health, a premier, $1.7 billion, not-for-profit, 8-hospital system that has been recognized by US News & World Report as one of the nation's Best Hospitals, announces a national search for a Vice President, Supply Chain & Materials Management. This system-level VP will serve as the health system’s top Supply Chain & Materials Management leader tasked with driving innovation and leading the integration of the supply chain and materials management function to achieve improved efficiencies, cost savings, and quality outcomes.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Vidant Medical Center, the system’s 909-bed tertiary flagship facility, the VP of Supply Chain & Materials Management will oversee a division of approximately 140 staff and create economic value across the entire system to include its regional hospitals and its multispecialty physician group with more than 500 providers in 80+ practice sites. The VP will lead in the relationship with the health system’s Group Purchasing Organization (Premier) to develop cost reduction opportunities, realize savings and efficiencies through purchasing volume and leverage discounts with manufacturers, distributors and other vendors.
