The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for supporting WHA sites by inventorying, ordering, receiving & stocking supplies, as well as providing support for various supply chain operations, according to established standards and processes.
DUTIES
- Conducts routine inventory of medical and other supplies at WHA sites. Enters orders into Materials Management Inventory System (MMIS) according to Periodic Automatic Replacement (PAR) levels.
- Proactively maintains appropriate supply levels by assessing and anticipating future needs and taking action as appropriate.
- Addresses shortages and surpluses, in partnership with Operations leadership.
- Records receipt of supplies in MMIS system.
- Conducts monthly formalized inventory of high dollar items, including implants and medications.
- Follows reporting structure for recording and reconciling inventory.
- Monitors and maintains supply bar coding systems at each site. Updates as needed.
- Analyzes and adjusts inventory PAR levels as needed.
- Unpacks and shelves supplies at WHA sites using "FIFO" (first in/first out) standards.
- Assists clinic leadership and staff with recall searches.
- Along with all clinic staff, monitors expiration dates on medical supplies.
- Along with Buyers, assists with coordination of deliveries & installation of furniture, equipment and other supplies as needed.
- Maintains an understanding of medical supplies and equipment requirements of the clinics, including what supplies are critical (emergency medical supplies) versus important. Uses this understanding to implement their procurement strategy.
- Provides a high level of customer service to internal and external customers, including hospitals and allied healthcare organizations.
- Moves inventory from site to site as needed, understanding the needs of each individual clinic and distributing product as needed.
- Breaks down boxes and other packing and follows property management protocols for waste disposal.
- Takes responsibility for and demonstrates safe work practices.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Maintains WHA confidentiality standards.
- Attends WHA and office meetings.
- Models The Values Statement and The Patient Experience of WHA.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Supply chain experience required. Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
- Customer service experience required.
- Proficient in using materials management software, Envi/IOS strongly preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
- Ability to demonstrate The Values Statement and The Patient Experience of WHA.
- Ability to perform the core essential functions of the job.
