In Collaboration with BILH Supply Chain Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing, implementing and administering a coordinated supply and equipment support system, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Receiving and Storage, Distribution, Mail Service, Courier, Material Processing, Vendor/Contract Management that operates efficiently and meets the needs of hospital departments.
• Develops policy and procedures in the areas of Purchasing, Inventory Control, Receiving and Storage, Distribution, Mail Service, Material Processing, Vendor/Contract Management and Equipment.
• Efficiently leads the utilization of staff, space, equipment, dollars (in purchases and inventory) and time in order to meet objectives.
• Accountable for developing and managing reports, budgets, supply utilization analysis, and capital expenditure management.
• Leads and Develops department staff through ongoing in-service education, on-the-job training and evaluation.
• Maintains good working relationships with all hospital departments by providing service management assistance and open communication. 
• Maintains adequate operating supply levels in the hospital and coordinating timely supply and equipment distribution to meet patient need and compliance with all regulatory standards
• Maintains a high degree of leadership competence through continuing education and/or participation in seminars, conventions and institutes as well as field trips to other institutions.
• Lead departments continuous process improvement initiatives implementing and maintaining best practices in all areas of responsibility. 
• Serves as chair/co-chair of Value Analysis Team responsible for leading monthly meetings, coordination of organizational efforts in cost reduction, analysis of product alternatives, and progress reporting on annual performance.
• Serves as BID-Plymouth representative leader and advocate in the BILH system ensuring optimization and implementation related to all areas of responsibility.  

Experience/Knowledge/skills Required

• Communication (verbal, written, computer).
• Analytical, with emphasis on business management.
• 7-10 years of progressive Materials Management leadership experience
• Experience in Acute Hospital Supply Chain setting required

Education Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in business related field
