This full-time management position will allow you to oversee a contract team responsible for purchasing and contracting activities for the hospital. This role will allow you to:
- Provide management and supervision for the Contracting Team.
- Lead initiatives, integrate systems and develop processes that support the organization’s mission and goals.
- Oversee systemwide contracting processes, including request for proposals, optimization of group purchasing contracts and auditing all non-labor expenses for cost-savings opportunities.
- Act a liaison with legal services, compliance, finance and hospital leadership on contracting matters.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clinical, administrative and health care staff to ensure effective, results-oriented outcomes that help improve the quality of care provided to patients.
Successful candidates for this role should have a bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business, nursing or a closely related field and at least five years of experience in contract administration or negotiations, preferably in a business or health care environment. Applicants with a postgraduate degree in health care or business, or equivalent experience, are preferred. We are seeking candidates with strong analytical and computer skills, including the ability to perform cost-benefit analysis and financial feasibility studies. Strong knowledge of legal terminology and critical thinking, negotiation and collaboration skills are essential in this role. Applicants must have proven ability to initiate and complete projects with a high degree of independence.
