POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Director Sourcing/Account Executive
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Sourcing
STATUS: Full Time, Exempt
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sourcing this individual would assist the Sourcing Department in maintaining supply chain contracts and services. Leads Premier contract aggregations, including tracking and reporting, price activations, other sourcing efforts and Pandion consulting. In addition, the individual will serve as the primary account manager for hospital and IDN members. Ensure that members achieve maximum value and satisfaction from contracts, programs and services offered through local group purchasing programs and national GPOs. Orients new members to local and national purchasing programs and resolves membership problems. Functions as the principle and/or secondary liaison for assigned member communications.
POSITION MAJOR OBJECTIVES:
Responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships and satisfaction with assigned members.
Responsible for local group purchasing contract portfolio and development of new local contracts.
Responsible for the regular distribution of Premier’s spend analytics program reports, utilizing multiple programs to analyze data used for supply chain initiatives as it relates to hospitals and other IDN members.
Responsible for uncovering the potential savings as well as tracking and reporting the savings for hospitals and other IDN members and in aggregate for the membership as needed.
Responsible for Premier contract aggregations and inputting into the Premier database where applicable for hospitals and other IDN members as appropriate.
Responsible for assisting with additional supply chain programs as appropriate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understands and promotes the mission, policies and procedures of Pandion Optimization Alliance
Responsible for support with all hospital & IDN member relations as it pertains to group purchasing activities.
Prepare and present quarterly business reviews with top acute care/IDN members.
Maintains a Sales Force file for each member. Utilize and maximize this tool to manage accounts and secure meetings with key personnel within each account.
Obtains BIDs/RFIs/RFPs from contracted vendors for members. Completes analysis and presents opportunities to members.
Works with the team in using and diligently following the Account Manager Procedure Manual for existing and identified accounts.
Responsible for all day-to-day vendor/contract issues, contract reviews and redlining, member price activations, administrative work, data analysis, communication, and presentation of information to members. Responsible for assisting members in implementation of the proposed savings as appropriate.
Acts as a clinical resource to the Pandion team to assist with member questions and back-order substitutions.
Uses clinical experience to vet potential contracting opportunities with vendors.
Works closely with the VP of Sourcing in the development of regional purchasing agreements as appropriate. Adheres to process of developing best in class contracts through product planning, negotiations, contract management and contract launch. Assists with contract aggregations as directed.
Represent Pandion and the Pandion membership on Premier Committees when seats are available.
Ensures continuous improvement in the quality of services offered by the company.
Attends and/or chairs committee meetings and presents information as needed.
Assists with providing articles for the member newsletter. Reviews marketing materials with marketing manager for content prior to launch.
Promotes and advertises programs, services, initiatives, and contracts available through local and national purchasing companies.
Maintains knowledge of regional and national affiliate contracts and programs. Keeps abreast of trends and potential opportunities to return additional value and cost savings to members.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors’ degree required, Clinical degree preferred. Clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred. Two to three years’ direct customer service experience and hospital materials management/hospital experience required. Purchasing/contracting experience required.
Must be proficient in contact management system and Microsoft Office Programs; Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Professional demeanor, excellent presentation skills.
Must have own, reliable transportation. Must be able to travel throughout region, including periodic two-three-day trips.
Incumbent is required to: drive and sit for prolonged periods of time; use office equipment normally associated with the above duties; travel by airplane and car. Lifting requirements are minimal.
