Responsible for the direction and leadership of the Supply Chain in all departmental matters including fiscal soundness of the organization's Supply Chain process; development of goals and objectives, policies and procedures for both the department and the organization; compliance with laws/standards and regulations; responsible for sourcing and contracting utilizing GPO and direct contracts; purchasing and distribution of supplies while managing appropriate inventory levels to meet patient care needs; supervise all department members and lead the disposal of surplus equipment/supplies process. Additionally, acts as a resource for contractual negotiations related to Supply Chain, direct the Value Analysis Program and oversees the organizations Operational Improvement Plan and continuous improvement initiatives. Position reports to the CFO of the organization.
Five years management expertise within hospital Supply Chain (Materials Management) department with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent degree. Will consider applicants with ten years management expertise in hospital Supply Chain (Materials Management) if candidate does not have a Bachelor's degree. Training in LEAN or equivalent continuous improvement methodology preferred.
