The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson, Mississippi is seeking candidates for a Director – OR Supply Chain to support its missions of academics, healthcare, and research. Please see the position description and requirements below.
The Director – OR Supply Chain will direct and administer the operating room's supply management systems. To support the provision of peri-operative services. To coordinate and manage all aspects of the operating room's central supply program and staff in all operating rooms and special areas.
The applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospital administration, or related field and four (4) years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education/experience; two (2) of which must have been in a supervisory capacity .Hospital supply chain and operating room experience preferred. RN preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
Knowledge of asepsis techniques.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills to interact with subordinates, staff, and management.
Ability to train and supervise employees.
